FoRo_ARQ是哥斯达黎加境内为数不多的建筑事务所之一,这些年来,秉承着″必要、简洁、质朴″的原则,事务所一直致力于在社会与经济发展较为落后的地区进行公益服务。201 2年,受当地政府之邀,FoRo_ARQ开始着手为埃尔罗德奥地区设计一座乡村社区中心。坦率地讲,中美洲许多国家都面临着严重的建筑文化缺失。上世纪80年代以后,哥斯达黎加境内的公共建筑设计一直呈现出比较低的水准,特别是乡村地区。埃尔罗德奥正是坐落在哥斯达黎加中部山谷中的一个不起眼的小村庄,虽然距离首都圣何塞并不算远,但是这里的生活水平却远远落后于大城市。
FoRo_ARQ is one of the few architectural firms in Costa Rica. Over the years, FoRo_ARQ has always been devoted to public service in areas with less developed social and economic development based on the principle of “necessity, simplicity and prudence.” 201 2 years, invited by the local government, FoRo_ARQ started to design a rural community center for the El Rodeo area. Frankly, many countries in Central America are facing serious lack of architectural culture. Since the 1980s, the design of public buildings in Costa Rica has been showing a relatively low standard, especially in rural areas. El Rodeo is an obscure little village nestled in the middle of Costa Rica. Although not far from San Jose, the capital, life here lags far behind the big cities.
