解放前夕,有两家私人开设的商业“播音台”(今之广播电台),一称“大众播音台”(在今中山五路将军西附近),一称“革新播音台”(在今佛山市的河滨旅店)。这两个民用“播音台”为了争夺广告生意,取得听众,无时不在勾心斗角。他们都在播放广告方面狠下功夫。记得当时“大众台”代拟的广告词有:“亚洲汽水,有你咁(这么)长气,有(没有)你咁好气”;“半边鸡,一壶‘永利威’
