自1945年美国V.布什发表开创性论文“和人一样思考”以来,西方称为“Information Science”、中国称为“情报科学”或“信息科学”(台湾称为“资讯科学”)的这一学术领域已走过了半个世纪。从理论上讲,这个学科尚处于多学派的时期,在这一发展阶段,广泛吸收有代表性的学术思想和创新研究成果,往往比囿于自己的闭门造车更为重要。 美国著名情报科学家A.德本斯艾人的《信息科学:新的集成观》是近几年此领域中的一个重要成果,曾荣获1989年美国情报科学学会最佳著作奖。关于这一著作及其作者,本刊在1990年第6期上发表过题为“情报科学的新一页”的评介文章,现再从本期开始,连载邀请中山大学卢泰宏教授和美国伯克利加洲大学信息学院刘子明博士翻译的这一重要论著。1990年,A.德本斯教授赠送该书给卢泰宏时,曾表示支持将此书译为中文发表。我们期待并相信,这项工作对我国情报科学的繁荣发展,会起基础性的长远作用。
Since the United States V. Bush published the seminal paper “Thinking Like People” in 1945, the United States called it “Information Science” and China called it “Information Science” or “Information Science” (Taiwan is called “Information Science”). A academic field has gone half a century. In theory, this discipline is still in a multi-school period. It is often more important at this stage of development to widely absorb representative academic ideas and innovative research results than to confine themselves to self-control. A leading German intelligence scientist, A.Bernstein, “Information Science: The New Concept of Integration” is an important achievement in this field in recent years and won the 1989 Best American Academy Award for Scientific Letters. About this work and its author, we published an article titled “A New Page in Information Science” in the sixth issue of 1990. Now, from the beginning of this issue, we invite Professor Lu Taihong from Sun Yat-sen University and Berkeley This important treatise by Dr. Liu Ziming, School of Informatics, University of California, Los Angeles. When Professor A. Deben presented the book to Lu Taihong in 1990, he expressed his support for the translation of the book into Chinese. We look forward to and believe that this work will play a fundamental and long-term role in the prosperity and development of our intelligence sciences.
