茶毛虫是茶叶生产上的首要害虫,给茶叶生产带来莫大的损失。在农业发展纲要40条中提出:“要在5—7年内消减农作物最严重的虫害……。”为彻底经济、收效大地消减茶毛虫,有利于茶树生长,必须进一步的研究和商榷。特别在各茶区现行的各种不同防治法,很有必要加以总结和提高。福建安溪县泽州茶业社有茶园851亩多,其中采扎面积有701亩。这几年来,采用了几种不同的防治方法,在茶毛虫严重发生的1957年,该社仍未见怎样发生,现把技术经验介绍一下,供各地参考:
Tea caterpillars are the major pests in the production of tea and bring great losses to tea production. In the outline of agricultural development, Article 40 states: “It is necessary to reduce the most serious pests of crops in 5-7 years...” In order to completely eliminate the tea caterpillars economically and effectively, it is beneficial to the growth of tea trees and must be further studied and discussed. In particular, the various existing prevention and treatment laws in various tea areas are necessary to be summed up and improved. Anxi County, Fujian Zezhou tea industry has 851 acres of tea and more, of which 701 acres of lam area. In recent years, several different methods of prevention and control have been adopted. In 1957, when there was a serious occurrence of tea caterpillars, the society still did not see any such occurrence. Now, we introduce the technical experience for reference:
