Severe systemic syndrome caused by malignant obstructive jaundice, the incidence of postoperative complications and mortality is extremely high. The hospital from January 1990 to March 2000 for malignant obstructive jaundice and cholecystokinostomy and pancreatoduodenectomy patients a total of 126 cases. Among them, 76 cases were treated with Octreotide, a synthetic octapeptide, and the incidence of postoperative complications was significantly decreased.
