《黑暗的心》讲述了进入黑非洲腹地——刚果的一段旅程,旅途中的地点、场景、环境等空间符号的运动呈现出一系列动态的空间意象,使小说充满了强烈的空间性。小说中的西方现代都市和进入非洲沿途所呈现出的具象的空间意象是一种动态的、交叉的文化空间,其所指涉的由错乱产生怀疑进而去追寻的文化精神与康拉德所推崇的“探求真理”的小说创作的艺术思想达到完美契合。
The “dark heart” tells the story of the journey to the Congo, a journey into the heart of the Black Africa. The movement of space symbols such as locations, scenes and environments during the journey presents a series of dynamic spatial images that make the novel full of intense space. The western modern city in the novel and the figurative spatial image presented along the way to Africa are a dynamic and cross-cultural space. The cultural spirits to which disbelief leads to suspicion and then to pursue are admired by Conrad “Seeking Truth ” novel art to achieve a perfect fit.
