1997年天津市机电产品出口实现22.76亿美元(外贸统计),提前三年,超额13.8%完成市机电产品出口20亿美元的“九五”腾飞计划,提前跨入了21世纪。在1994年机电产品出口创汇6.05亿美元和“八五”期间预计年均增长速度10.8%的基础上,于1995年初天津市政府制定了:到2000年实现机电产品出口创汇20亿美元,比“八五”末预计翻两番、年均增长速度23.36%的“九五”
In 1997, the export of mechanical and electrical products in Tianjin achieved 2.276 billion U.S. dollars (foreign trade statistics). In the three years ahead of schedule, 13.8% of the total exports of electromechanical products from the city completed the “Ninth Five-Year Plan” for the take-off plan of the “Ninth Five-Year Plan” and entered the 21st century in advance. In 1994, based on the US$605 million export of mechanical and electrical products and the estimated annual growth rate of 10.8% during the Eighth Five-Year Plan, the Tianjin Municipal Government formulated in early 1995 that by the year 2000, it would achieve an export value of US$2 billion for electromechanical products. The “Ninth Five-Year Plan” in the 8th Five-Year Plan period is expected to quadruple and the average annual growth rate is 23.36%.
