在今日,许多国人知道南宋洪迈,因为他撰写的《容斋随笔》被誉为南宋笔记小说之冠,对后世产生了深远影响,连毛泽东主席都将它当作了床头书。然而,在南宋当朝,其父洪皓的名气却比洪迈要大得多。洪皓在宋、金对峙时期出使金国,被羁押十五年,备历艰辛,受尽威逼,却宁死不屈,全节而归,成为了南宋士大夫中民族气节的标杆式人物。当他历经千辛万苦归国后,宋高宗惊叹不已,称他为“虽苏武不能过”的大忠臣。
