初冬的清晨,我们乘车从连州县城出发,向地处大东山腹地潭岭镇行进。地势逐渐升高,从车窗望去,连州市区上空飘浮着一层淡淡的薄雾,更显露山城的妩媚。公路两侧是珠江三角洲已不可多见的一块块稻田。水稻刚刚收过,田里稻茬尚未翻耕,少数翻过的田块黑油油的水稻土似乎散发出它特有的泥土的芬芳,一垄垄蔬菜在晨露的滋润下显得格外清绿、诱人。汽车随着蜿蜒山道盘旋而上,在青山环抱之中,公路像一条飘逸的彩带,一边是陡峭岩石,一边是葱笼苍翠的林海。汽车行进一个多小时,终于到达了海拔600多米的镇政府所在地。这儿正如潭岭镇的名字:山水相依,背靠连绵青山,面临天湖碧水。
