Objective To investigate the effect of low temperature operation on workers’ health in two freezing plants in Guangzhou. Methods 83 cases (female 45 cases, male 38 cases) cryogenic workers (contact group) were inspected, and 66 non-contact low temperature workers (35 female and 31 male) were used as the control group. The use of a calibrated domestic ventilation hygrometer and anemometer to determine the micro-climate at low-temperature workplaces. Results Low-temperature workers daily (-8 ~ -20) ℃ working conditions 3 h. The incidence of headache, dizziness, wrist pain, knee pain and lumbago in the contact group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.01). In the female contact group, the anti-O, The average level of ESR was significantly higher than that of the female control group (P <0.01 or P <0.05). The average levels of anti-O and ESR in male exposure group were significantly higher than those in the male control group (P <0.01). However, there was no significant difference in the levels of anti-O and ESR between the exposure group and the exposure to low temperature service (P> 0.05). Conclusion The low temperature in Guangzhou refrigeration plant has a certain impact on the health of workers. Health protection should be done well.
