新春5号是1990年经自治区品种审定委员会审定通过的中早熟春麦新品种。该品种(原代号564)是新疆农垦科学院农业所于1981年用“繁6”与“6038”杂交选育而成。该品种株高90—95cm,穗长方形、长芒、白壳、白粒,穗粒数40—45粒,千粒重35—40g,容重800g/L左右,生育期90—95天,抗白粉病、条锈病、叶锈病,轻感黑穗病和黑颖病,抗倒,耐瘠薄,轻耐盐碱。单产390kg左右,适宜在石河子、奎屯、塔城等地区种植。 该品种的突出特点是品质优良,蛋白质含量在14％以上,面粉属于强力粉,尤其面
