元认知是指学习者有效组织学习活动知识和能力,是学习者对自己学习过程的自我监控和使用策略的具体做法。在大学英语写作中,教师通过指导学生掌握正确的元认知知识,丰富学生的元认知体验,指导学生进行元认知监控,能够激发学生的学习动机,增强他们在写作过程中计划、监控和自省等自主学习能力,从而提高学生的英语写作水平。
