1932年底至1933年初,从鄂豫皖苏区转移的红四方面军在中共中央鄂豫皖分局和方面军总指挥(?)向前、总政委陈昌浩等的率领下,千里转战来到川北的通(江)、南(江)、巴(中)地区,开始了创建川陕根据地的斗争。 创建革命根据地,不仅要占地盘、斗地主、分田地、建政权,还要补充兵源,扩大红军,为保卫和发展革命胜利果实而建立强大的红色武装。
