依据自然有利因素,采用模式试验,待幼苗出土,即以5—8℃的地表温度培育幼苗,辅之以300—400米烛光的微弱光照,持续25夜;反是不能正常通过春化。白天,将轮式木制生长箱推至室外自然光照下,使幼苗生长健壮,防止徒长。第四代,气温偏低,但自然光照通过室内的时间较长,辅之以人工光照,同样可使幼苗茁壮生长。继之以18—22℃的相对恒温和连续光照,培育幼苗,直至所收的种子具有正常的发芽力。连续光照应保持22—24小时。由于冷光对光合无积极效果,我们一直采用1,000瓦(W)的白炽碘钨灯,照度每平方朱7,000米烛光。从播种到收获,全生育期75—80天。从1980—1982年已连续二年,首次成功地在西宁地区实现了培育半冬性小麦良种,一年四代。适应于春、冬小麦间的杂交,若以强冬性小麦做母本,春性小麦做父本,从杂交后代第二代起均可适应。
