一九三六年六月,胡风在上海结识左联盟员屠玘华(梅志)。此后逐渐建立了感情,是年年底他们开始了共同生活。以后的几十年间,由于种种原因,胡风与夫人梅志聚少离多。也正因为暌隔的思念,胡风写下了一大批珍贵的家书,现在保存下来的尚有三百封以上。本刊得悉张晓风女士在整理、编辑父亲的书信,经联系获得先期刊发的机会。这里选登的七封家书写于一九五二年七八月间,即第一次对胡风文艺思想进行有组织的批判前夕。当时胡风应周扬“我们将讨论你的文艺思想”的约请,于七月十九日抵京。此后两个月里情势骤变,胡风的态度也由最初的强硬开始变得惶惑、无奈,这都反映在写给留在上海的梅志的这些信中。讨论会后于九月六日开始,前后持续半年之久。当时对胡风的批判虽仅限于文艺思想范围,但实际上这种斗争方式已给日后“胡风反革命集团”一案埋下了伏笔。原信附有张晓风女士撰写的若干注释,本刊为尽可能给读者提供一些当时的背景材料,又对注释作了修订和补充。当然,倘有舛误不妥之处,这部分文字责任在于本刊。书信中的文字概以原样刊出,其中有些词语用字可能不符合现今书写规范,也未作改动。有个别几处标有“(略)”的字样,是信件提供人所作的字句处理。
In June 1936, Hu Feng met with Tu Yuhua (Mei Zhi), a leftist member in Shanghai. Since then gradually established their feelings, by the end of the year they began to live together. In the next few decades, due to various reasons, Hu Feng and his wife, Mei Zhi gather together. It is also because of every thoughts and sorrows, Hu Feng wrote a large number of precious books, and now there are more than 300 preserved. The journal was informed that Ms. Zhang Xiaofeng was finishing and editing her father’s letter and was contacted for the first issue. The seven selected home-page writers wrote in July and August 1952, marking the first organized criticism of Hu’s ideology of literature and art. At that time, Hu Feng should be Zhou Yang’s “We will discuss your literary thinking,” the invitation, arrived in Beijing on July 19. The sudden changes in the next two months led Hu Feng’s attitude to become apprehensive and helpless from the initial hard-line. All this was reflected in these letters addressed to Mei Zhi who remained in Shanghai. The seminar started on September 6 and lasted for six months. At the time, the criticism of Hu Feng was limited to the scope of art and literature, but in fact this way of struggle has already laid the groundwork for the future case of “Hu Feng Anti-revolutionary Group.” The original letter attached with a number of notes written by Ms. Zhang Xiaofeng, the magazine is to provide readers with some of the background materials, as amended and added notes.
