A pair of modern Chinese music and cultural traditions, especially the study of modern Chinese musical thought history, in essence, is a modern interpretation of modern Chinese music and culture. The so-called modern interpretation is not a “six-class memo” nor a “six-class memoir” in the traditional sense. Instead, it draws on and synthesizes the length of methods of academic study both at home and abroad, and earnestly and profoundly excavates the historical materials of modern musical thought.
