本文就隐喻成语翻译的文化意象缺失或扭曲现象作了简要分析,指出造成这类翻译失误的根本原因是译者对原语隐喻意象反映其文化个性的重要性缺乏充分认识,错误地采用归化翻译方法使然。并主张译者应尽可能采用意象复制方法,将原文隐喻意象移植到目标语中,从而把原丈的文化信息失真降低到最低限度。
This paper briefly analyzes the lack or distortion of the cultural image of metaphorical idioms translation and points out that the root cause of such translation errors is that the translators’ lack of full understanding of the importance of the metaphorical image reflecting their cultural individuality and the mistaken adoption of naturalization Translation method. And advocates that the translator should use image copy method as much as possible to transplant the metaphorical image of the original text into the target language so as to reduce the original cultural distortion to the minimum.
