Despite the downturn in the electronic warfare industry, the Army’s electronic warfare program is still very lively. 1, Radio Frequency and Infrared Plan Two plans for airborne self-defense represent the Army’s development trend in the field of electronic warfare. They are the Advanced Threat Radar Jammer (ATRJ) and Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasure (ATIRCM) programs. ATRJ has completed the final test and will enter the engineering prototype manufacturing stage in March or April 1994 for about 30-36 months.
