Deng Xiaoping’s idea of distance education is an important part of Deng Xiaoping’s educational thought and has opened the way of modern distance education in TV University. The innovation and development of TVU distance education is the reality of Deng Xiaoping’s distance education thought. It is the inevitable requirement of practicing Deng Xiaoping’s distance education thought and “three represents ”. The historic task of the innovation of distance education in the TVU shows that Deng Xiaoping’s distance education has a strong vitality and fully embodies the scientific and practical nature of Deng Xiaoping’s distance education thoughts.
