大庆油田于1960年5月开始建设,经过3年“大会战”,至1963年底累计生产原油1000多万吨。在这三年中,数万名石油职工发扬艰苦奋斗的革命精神,在非常困难的条件下,展现了工人阶级的英雄气概,为结束中国使用“洋油”的时代作出了巨大贡献。 1964年2月,中共中央发出《关于传达石油工业部关于大庆会战情况的报告通知》;12月,毛泽东同志号召全国工业战线开展“工业学大庆”的群众运动。中央几家报纸立即派记者到大庆采访报道。我们当时就写了一篇3000字的介绍王铁人先进事迹的通讯。但是由于当时中苏关系紧张,大庆油田对外保密,报道未能公开见报。 1965年,中央工交政治部批准《工人日报》在宣传大庆上可以先行一步。国家经委副主任高扬文还指出:应选择一些能反映出工人阶级最优良品质的人物突出予以报道,树立有血有肉的先进形象。于是《工人日报》在1965年11月,先后派出20余名编采人员组成采访团奔赴大庆油田。 这次到大庆采访和1964年那次采访完全不同了。1964年的那次采访,由于种种原因,我们基本上是先看有关王铁人先进事迹的各种材料,然后集中两个半天听王铁人本人的介绍。尽管材料看得不少,王铁人的介绍内容也很丰富,但写出来后
