彭湃是中国现代农民运动的先驱和广东海陆丰农民运动的领导人,也是中国共产党早期武装斗争中一位杰出的组织者。他比较早地强调武装农民的重要性,领导和组织广东农民自卫军支持革命;主张解决土地问题与武装农民紧密结合起来;主张以武装起义反抗国民党的屠杀政策;主张以革命武装保卫革命根据地建设。彭湃的军事活动与武装起义思想,对推动革命事业发展起了重要作用,为中国共产党坚持和发展武装斗争积累了宝贵经验。
Peng Pai was the pioneer of the modern peasant movement in China and the leader of the peasants’ movement in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Mainland. He was also an outstanding organizer in the early armed struggle of the Chinese Communist Party. He emphasized the importance of armed peasants earlier, led and organized the Guangdong Self-Defense Forces to support the revolution, advocated the solution of the issue of land and the close integration of armed peasants, advocated an armed uprising against the Kuomintang’s massacre policy, and advocated building a revolutionary armed base for defending revolutionary bases . Peng Pai’s military activities and armed uprisings thought played an important role in promoting the development of the revolutionary cause and accumulated valuable experience for the CPC in upholding and developing the armed struggle.
