Susan M. Filler, Ph.D., American musicologist and renowned MAHLE researcher, currently a member of the advisory board of the Gustave Maule Society in New York, a consultant professor at the New College of Science in DePaul University, And for the United States, “Journal of the study of music,” “Society of American Musicology Association News” and other publications work. In 1977 she earned her Ph.D. degree from Northwestern University in the United States, and her dissertation entitled “The Editing of Symphonies of Gustave MAHLE: A Study of the Origins of the Third and the Symphony No. 10” Since the 1970s , Phyllis wrote a large number of papers on MAHLE research, of which 22 papers and book reviews were published. She is the author of Gustav and Alma MAHLE: A Guide to Research (Handbook of Research on Composers in Wreath Publishing Company, Volume 28). This book was published in New York in 1989. In 1990 she also edited commentary and performance versions of two drafts of Mahler’s symphonies, including the score and parts of the band, and edited two songs by Alma Mahler, composed of works by women composers The Sidga Publishing Company was published in 2000. Currently, Dr. Feller is currently preparing a “Historical Data of Musicology in the Third Reich” to be published by the Indiana University Press in October 2001. Dr. Feller was invited to the Xi’an Conservatory of Music for a speech entitled “Jewish Music and its definition, ”the academic report, welcomed by the majority of teachers and students. Professor Yu Zhigang of the Central Conservatory of Music translated this speech into Chinese, and I published it for publication to readers.
