华主席、党中央一举粉碎“四人帮”,使倍受摧残的话剧事业又获新生,重放异彩。在中共上海市委和市委宣传部的热情支持和领导下,七、八月份,上海市举行了话剧汇报演出。广大老中青话剧工作者在上海出现罕见的持续高温的日子里,争分夺秒,奋战高温,团结战斗,创作排练了十四台现代革命题材的剧目,出现了《童心》、《出色的答案》、《彼岸》和《约会》等一批新创作的好戏,展现出了一派百花齐放的繁荣景象。这次汇演的一个特点是戏剧创作能冲破禁区,大胆进行艺术实践。参加汇演剧目的题材比较广泛,有歌颂中国人民在华主席率领下,为实现四个现代化而奋勇前进的《新长征交响诗》;有表现粉
Chairman Hua and the party Central Committee crushed the “gang of four” in one fell swoop, bringing the once-brutal drama career back to life again.
