研究表明,黄麻圆果种的纤维品质优于长果种;相同熟型的长果种、圆果种不同品种相应部位的纤维结构以及化学成分如纤维素含量,均以圆果种品种表现优良,木质素的含量则相反,长果种、圆果种品种植株不同部位的纤维品质,以中部最好,基部次之,上部较次;黄麻品种纤维品质的优劣与品种本身固有的经济性状、熟型不相关;同一品种的纤维品质与收获期、种植密度有关:其强力随收获期的延迟而增强,随种植密度的增加植株中、上部位有降低的趋势;纤维支数则随收获期的推迟而下降,随密度的增加而增高。
