Agere Systems Inc. recently announced that it will leverage its technology strengths in wireless and network delivery products and develop new products that work together to store customers’ needs. For example, with advanced 0.25μm SiGe technology, combined with SiGe preamplifier ICs and the industry’s best read channel products with signal-to-noise ratio, the company introduced the industry’s first preamplifier integrated circuit, the HDD (HDD ) Store part of the core components. Agere’s silicon-germanium semiconductor materials are designed to handle high-bandwidth, low-power preamplifiers that will operate at 4x the resistance of existing preamplifiers on the market.
