今年是鸦片战争爆发150周年。150年前,英国派出远征军发动了侵略我国的鸦片战争,中国军民对英军侵略军进行了英勇顽强的抵抗。鸦片战争虽然因种种原因最后以失败而告终,但是,中国人民和清军广大爱国官兵在战争中表现出来的“不甘屈服于帝国主义及其走狗的顽强反抗精神”,以及由鸦片战争开始的中国人民不断反抗外国侵略,争取民族振兴、国家富强的斗争,是中华民族爱国主义精神的具体体现。这种精神将永照千秋,弘扬万代。
