我国Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ上网计算机、用户人数、用户分布、信息流量分布、域名注册等方面情况的统计信息，为国家和企业动态掌握Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ在我国的发展情况提供决策依据有着十分重要的意义。经信息产业部和ＣＮＮＩＣ工作委员会研究，决定由ＣＮＮＩＣ联合四个互联网络单位来实施这项统计工作，并于１９９７年１１月和１９９８年７月分别公布了《中国Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ发展状况统计报告》。统计数据发布后，受到各个方面的重视，并且经常有一些单位和用户到ＣＮＮＩＣ询问最新数据。为了使这项工作制度化、正规化，ＣＮＮＩＣ决定每半年发布一次统计报告，时间定在１月和７月。本刊将在第一时间向读者报告有关数据。
The statistical information on Internet Internet computers, user numbers, user distribution, information flow distribution and domain name registration in Internet in China is of great significance for the state and enterprises to grasp the Internet dynamically and provide the basis for decision-making in the development of our country. The Ministry of Information Industry and the CNNIC Working Committee studied and decided that CNNIC should jointly implement the statistical work with four Internet units and released the Statistical Report on the Internet Development in China in November 1997 and July 1998 respectively. Statistics released, by all aspects of attention, and often some units and users to CNNIC ask the latest data. In order to institutionalize and regularize this work, CNNIC decided to release its statistical report every six months, scheduled for January and July. The publication will be the first time the reader to report the data.
