粤西推覆构造带总体沿罗定—云浮—清远—英德一线展布,NE-NNE走向,呈一向SE突出的弧形,长达350km,由NW向SE推覆,水平推覆距离大于40km。推覆构造的外来系统为前震旦系、震旦系和寒武系,原地系统为泥盆系和石炭系。它形成于海西—印支期,燕山期又经历了强烈的构造运动、大规模的岩浆活动及白垩纪内陆盆地的沉积作用。后期的剥蚀作用,导致构造窗发育。这是一个经历了强烈改造的同碰撞型巨型逆冲推覆构造带。
The western Guangdong nappe structure belt distributes along the Luodian-Yunfu-Qingyuan-Yingde first-line and NE-NNE direction. It has a curved arc with a prominent SE of up to 350km, and is extended from NW to SE with a horizontal push-out distance greater than 40km. The external systems of the nappe structure are the former Sinian, Sinian and Cambrian systems and the in situ systems are Devonian and Carboniferous. It was formed in the Hercynian - Indosinian, Yanshanian experienced strong tectonic movement, large-scale magmatic activity and Cretaceous inland basin deposition. Late denudation, leading to structural window development. This is a collisional giant thrust nappe belt that underwent a radical transformation.
