毛蚶为渤海湾内主要海产经济贝类,其分布范围广,资源丰富。由于生产上的需要,我所于1966年上半年曾对渤海湾内毛蚶资源作过调查。近年来,毛蚶生产已由过去鱼虾汛期以外的间歇性转为春初秋后海洋生产的主要扑捞对象。年产量不断增加,据统计仅我省毛蚶总产量78年后已破万吨。尤以近两年产量猛增,75年为3万余吨。今年截止十月底已完成41000多吨(见表),占全省海洋生产的很大比重,毛蚶产量的丰欠对完成全年生产计划具有一定的意义。从而引起有关生产单位和各级领导的
Maui is the major seafood economy in Bohai Bay, with a wide distribution and abundant resources.
