This article outlines the nature of transient intermodulation distortion and discusses an amplifier with excellent transient stability. Until recently, high-fidelity audio amplifiers still tended to pursue small harmonic distortion and intermodulation distortion. Surprisingly, the sound quality of these ultralow distortion amplifiers is not as good as their distortion data suggests.
