20世纪80年代台湾出现肯定日本殖民统治的台独论述,迄今犹有余绪。但考察日本在台的五十年同化政策,不难发现其用语言、思想、日常生活等方面的同化去掩盖其政治排斥、经济榨取、民族歧视的实质。厘清这一段史实,任何台湾殖民统治的肯定论、美化论都将被证明是政治操弄下的虚妄建构。
So far there has been no end to Taiwan’s argument about Taiwan’s independence in the 1980s that affirmed Japan’s colonial rule. However, looking at Japan’s 50-year assimilation policy in Taiwan, it is not difficult to find that it assimilates its substance in terms of political exclusion, economic exploitation and ethnic discrimination in terms of assimilation in terms of language, thinking and daily life. To clarify this historical fact, the affirmative theory and the beautification theory of any Taiwan colonial rule will prove to be illusory constructions under the political manipulation.
