美国女作家安妮·普鲁的小说《船讯》蕴含了丰富的家庭伦理内涵。作家通过主人公重建家庭的经历在小说中完成了家庭价值观的建构。小说描写了一个其貌不扬、才智平庸的中年男人奎尔如何重获新生,探讨了家庭成员的归属感以及家庭关系对个人的影响问题,肯定了家庭传统在纷繁复杂的现代社会作为个人价值观的积极作用。完整的家庭结构、真挚的家庭亲情、对家庭历史的正确认知可以愈合一个人过去的伤痛,使其得到救赎、重生,从而得以追求人伦之乐。
American writer Anne Proud novel “Boat News” contains a wealth of family ethics. Through the hero’s reconstruction of family experience, the writer completed the construction of family values in the novel. The novel portrays how a middle-aged man of ordinary appearance and mediocrity, Quail, regained a fresh life, explored the sense of belonging of family members and the impact of family relations on the individual, and affirmed the family tradition’s activeness as a personal value in the complicated modern society effect. A complete family structure, sincere family ties, and a correct cognition of family history can heal one’s past pains, make them redeemed and reborn, and thus pursue the benevolent pleasures.
