作为人类传染病研究的模型动物必须能够准确地再现疾病的各个方面。从解剖学、遗传学及生理学的角度看,家猪与人类极为相似,是一种可用于研究各种微生物感染性疾病的理想动物模型。研究发现,相比于啮齿类动物,以猪作为模型动物能更准确地预测人类疾病的治疗方法。在本综述中,我们将重点阐述在人类传染病研究及疫苗研发过程中猪作为模型动物的种种优势,以及人们从中获得的众多关于提高动物和人类健康的新知识。
As a model animal for the study of human infectious diseases, animals must be able to accurately reproduce all aspects of the disease. From the perspective of anatomy, genetics and physiology, domestic pigs are very similar to humans and are ideal animal models that can be used to study various microbial infectious diseases. The study found that pigs as model animals can more accurately predict the treatment of human diseases than rodents. In this review, we will highlight the advantages of pigs as model animals in the development of human infectious disease research and vaccines, as well as the many new insights people have gained on improving the health of animals and humans.
