社会主义是实现共产主义的运动,需要几代人、十几代人努力,每一代社会主义者有自身的历史任务。中国第一代社会主义者即第一代共产党人是在马克思列宁主义的思想理论指导下,通过走十月革命之路开始了中国人对社会主义的追求和探索,进行反帝反封建的民族民主革命,是那一历史阶段的共产党人必须要完成的历史任务。中国第一代社会主义者和共产党人,在毛泽东带领下圆满地完成了反帝反封建的民族民主革命任务后,继续前进,开拓了中国社会主义运动的第二个阶段,探索在中国建设社会主义社会的道路。任何无视中国新民主主义革命道路同中国社会主义道路不可分割的联系、无视中国新民主主义革命理论与中国社会主义理论的紧密联系的观点,都是片面和有害的,都不可能正确认识和领导中国的社会主义运动。
