“九五”期间,我省加大林业改革力度,动员全社会参与林业建设,使全省林业建设又上了一个新台阶。五年间共完成造林合格面积2247.8万亩,为“九五”计划目标的 112.4%,义务植树5.01亿株,为计划目标的 83.5%;截止到1999年果品总产量达到653万吨, 比“八五”末增加215万吨,年均增长10.4%。1999 年林果总产值达到92.7亿元(不变价),比“八五”末净增25亿元,年均增长8.2%,1999年全省森林资源监测显示有林地面积达到5483万亩,林木总蓄积达到7931立方米,森林覆盖率达到19.48%。预计到 “九五”末全省森林覆盖率将接近20%,比“八五”末净增约3个百分点。
