A study by the Japan's Sun Moon University showed that dentistry can increase the risk of squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity. Researchers therefore advised people to pay attention to denture hygiene and to undergo regular screening. According to the report of “Nihon Keizai Shimbun”, Professor Shuo Jing, who was in charge of the research, studied 80 patients with squamous cell carcinoma. The results showed that many patients with squamous cell carcinoma received denture treatment, and the mosaic denture around the recurrence of squamous epithelial cancer. It is generally believed that lifestyle habits such as drinking and smoking are the major causes of oral cancer, and researchers found that those surveyed patients with squamous cell carcinoma had poor alcohol consumption and smoking. Schopenhauer believes that denture may be one of the reasons people susceptible to squamous cell carcinoma. There are three dangers of denture: First, the use of deformation for many years, bring inappropriate; Second, due to corrosion of dentures, causing allergies; Third, oral hygiene, denture cleaning is not enough. These hazards may cause continued inflammation of tissues surrounding the denture, triggering squamous cell carcinoma.
