一直以来公安院校射击课的教学目标是教会学员警用射击的基本技能,但是随着近年来多起暴力恐怖事件的发生,这种教会学员警用射击技能的教学目标已经不能适应公安实战工作的需要。公安院校应当重新定位射击课教学目标,并根据新的射击课教学目标从培养“判明”的能力、培养安全用枪理念、培养实战心理素质等方面来对射击教学进行改革。
