The “dagger” radar is a three-coordinate surveillance radar that provides the accuracy and electronic immunity required by NASA’s Light Rail system 2000. In order to obtain a narrow beam on a finite size antenna, the radar operates at high microwave frequencies, which necessitates a very high degree of accuracy in the fabrication of the beamforming circuit. The aggregate feed used to stimulate the horizontal aperture is a three-layer ribbon. Transmitter high-voltage power supply insulation measures is the combination of air gap and solid medium. Signal processors are miniaturized by using very large scale silicon integrated circuits, leadless ceramic chip carrier packages, and printed circuit boards embedded with sinks.
