国际原子能委员会(IAEA)的学者,自五十年代就开始积极地探索通过同位素的不同组分来研究地下水问题。六十年代,同位素方法已较广泛地应用于地下水资源评价。七十年代,同位素技术已取得许多常规研究手段所难以获得的结果。同位素技术为地下水领域开拓了一条新的研究途径。鉴于环境同位素在应用中的多功能性,本刊将分两期刊登施、杜两同志的文章。扼要介绍地下水研究中应用环境同位素的原理和方法,以期引起地下水研究工作者的重视,尽快地在具体工程中实施或试用。
Scholars at the International Atomic Energy Commission (IAEA) have been actively exploring the use of different components of isotopes to study groundwater problems since the 1950s. In the 1960s, isotope methods have been widely applied to groundwater resources assessment. In the seventies, isotopic techniques have yielded results that many conventional research methods have found difficult to obtain. Isotope technology has opened up a new approach to groundwater research. In view of the versatility of environmental isotopes in application, we will publish the articles of Shih-Du and Duh-Liang in two phases. The principle and method of applying environmental isotopes in groundwater research are briefly introduced in order to attract the attention of groundwater researchers and to implement or try out them in specific projects as soon as possible.
