黄日葵是我国早期的马克思主义者,北京大学“马克思学说研究会”19位发起人之一,中国“五四”爱国革命运动的发动者之一,中国共产党建党初期党员,也是广西籍的第一位中国共产党党员。黄日葵(1899—1930),生于广西省桂平县城厢镇五甲街兴隆坊(现桂平市西山镇县府街)一个书香世家。1916年7月,黄日葵在桂平县立中学毕业,10月东渡日本留学。1918年,在日本留学期间,黄日葵参加了中国留日学生举行的
