On February 28, the Ministry of Education and the State Language Commission held a 2014 national language and language working conference in Beijing. Li Weihong, Vice Minister of Education and Director of the National Committee of Chinese Language and Culture, attended the meeting and made speeches. Yao Xishan, director of the Department of Pragmatics, Ministry of Education, and Zhang Haoming, director of the Department of Information and Communication, attended the meeting.
