自从局发出关于大力贯彻作业计划加强生产技术准备工作中提高产品质量的指示以来，各厂都采取了一些措施，并取得了一定成绩。但仍有些部门的领导和职工对提高产品质量工作的重要性认识不足，因而截至目前为止，不注意做好生产技术准备工作，盲目赶任务，忽视产品质量等不良倾向在企业内的生产活动中表现的还相当普遍，致使产品质量低劣。更应注意的是这种情绪在新产品试制中反映的更为强烈。重庆机床厂即是最突出的一例。因此，为引起各厂在这方面注意，保证产品的质量，特将田旭东同志对重庆机床厂试制品──５１４型插齿机在质量上存在的问题的分析一文介绍于下，希各厂通过该文的介绍，接受该厂的教训，认真地按试制办法进行新产品试制，从而保证产品质量的基础上顺利地投入生产。 为悍卫、提高产品质量，向忽视产品质量的不良现象作斗争。希望热爱本刊的全体作者、读者和通讯员同志们勇跃参加这方面的报道。大胆地揭发不重视质量的思想、行为，以及报道为提高产品质量而斗争的先进单位、人物和经验。
