1 前言 球墨铸铁做为活塞环材料已被越来越多的厂家所采用。由于球墨铸铁的糊状凝固特点及活塞环断面模数较小,生产球铁环毛坯时若象灰口铸铁那样铸成单体,中心部位极易出现缩松,若采用多设冒口的方式避免疏松,则材料利用率太低。为解决铸造时的缩松问题,目前主要采用两种方法。一种为采用离心铸造铸成筒体然后切成单片经定形处理而成椭圆,另一种为铸成椭圆双体。在性能方面,由椭圆双体毛坯制造的活塞环比由筒体毛坯经过定形而成为椭圆的活塞环具有密封性能好、弹性保持性能强等优点,就原材料的利用率和机加工工艺性方面
