“新闻是易碎品。”人们常常这样说。“新闻评论大多也是易碎品。”一位对新闻评论颇有研究的同志这样说。读了一些五十年代、六十年代的新闻评论,我颇有同感,其中绝大多数的确与年俱老了,但是也有少量作品并没有随着历史的变迁而“破碎”;相反,几年、十几年、几十年后仍葆有生命力。《不要害怕反对的意见》就是这样一篇佳作。《不要害怕反对的意见》是1956年10月9日人民日报发表的社论,距今整整三十年了。
