医院信息化是指医院在一定深度和广度上利用计算机技术、网络技术和数据库技术,控制和集成医院诊疗服务、运营与管理活动中的所有信息,实现医院内外部信息共享和有效利用,以提高医院效益和竞争力的建设过程。今天的医院无论从管理角度,还是从资源角度,都比以往更多地利用信息获取竞争优势。信息化建设给医院带来了前所未有的发展,如何有效促进丰富的诊疗业务等信息资源在医院管理业务中得到实时应用,加强医院信息统计工作模式理论与方法的探讨,建立面向管理的综合统计信息服务机制,等等这些问题值得我们去分析和研究。
