王树人、刘顺厚的文章探讨了搞好党的自身建设与发展社会主义民主政治的关系,指出:坚持中国共产党的领导是当代中国社会主义政治文明的特色;政治文明是中国共产党全面建设小康社会的必然选择;政治文明的发展依赖于中国共产党执政方式的创新。政治文明建设是一个历史发展过程,将随着社会的发展和政治制度完善程度而不断地发展和提高。我国的社会主义政治文明建设是中国共产党全面建设小康社会的重要目标,是建设有中国特色社会主义伟大事业的重要组成部分。中国共产党也将会通过推进自身执政方式的创新,坚定不移地把我国的社会政治文明建设事业推向前进。

The construction of political civilization is a historical development process and will continue to develop and improve with the development of society and the perfection of the political system. The construction of socialist political civilization in our country is an important goal of the Chinese Communist Party in building an overall well-to-do society and an important part of building the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The Chinese Communist Party will also unswervingly push forward the cause of building social and political civilization in our country by advancing the innovation in its own ruling style.
