一、湖州蚕丝业概况 湖州是我国蚕丝业发祥地之一,城郊钱山漾遗址发掘出土的丝线、绸片,据测定距今已有4700余年,是迄今世界发现最古老的丝绸实物。数千年来,湖州人民对中国和世界蚕丝文明与进步作出了卓越贡献。闻名中外传播久远的“湖桑”、“湖丝”、“湖绉”等皆源于湖州。1995年4月在北京人民大会堂召开的首批百家中国特产之乡命名大会上,湖州市被授予“中国丝绸之乡”桂冠,全国人大常委会副委员长王光英等国家领导人颁发了奖励证书和金牌。
I. Overview of Huzhou Silk Industry Huzhou is one of the birthplaces of the silk industry in China. The silk and silk pieces unearthed from the excavation of the Qianshanjing site in the suburbs have been measured for more than 4,700 years and are the oldest silk artifacts ever discovered in the world. For thousands of years, the people of Huzhou have made outstanding contributions to the civilization and progress of silk in China and the world. The well-known “Lake Sang,” “Lake Silk,” and “Lake Breeze,” which have long been famous in China and abroad, all originated in Huzhou. In April 1995, at the naming convention of the first batch of 100 Chinese specialties held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Huzhou was awarded the title of “Hometown of Chinese Silk”, and Wang Guangying, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and other leaders issued the award.
