“急风骤雨”和“焦头烂额”是形容当下超负荷的城市化压力以及建筑师应对心态的最贴切的词汇。因此,“四两拨千斤”式的轻松打法和清澈见底的思路是这种时局下更吸引人的东西。我最早见到青浦私企协会办公楼的照片是在大舍寄给我们的新年贺卡上。因为见多了珠三角的狂燥和北方的粗俗,这照片所展示的一种江南的精巧的确让人耳目一新。这时才理解为什么自古总把江南的人造自然与秀气加灵气的人格联系起来,例如“欲把西湖比西子”。在都市化这场过分男性化的侵夺之中,这个建筑展示了一种罕见的女性风骨——轻松、柔美、纯洁。好在女性主义和女权运动的伟大胜利不会误导读者认为我的这种“女性”描述是对这个建筑的污蔑；相反,这是一种合适的赞美。如果从女性主义的文化立场出发,这个主义最有价值的立足点是它从一个最能让人接受的角度反思了社会既成的一切。一个被一种价值观统领了的世界,无论有怎样的批判力量,无非是封建主义式的一个王朝去代替另一个王朝的循环往复,并不能从根本上去击碎各种批评力量所共同反对的对象。而女性主义恰恰以根本性的角度置换,从一个前所未有,却能轻松地找到的站点,一下子击落了最顽强的敌人。这种阿基里斯式或参孙式的消灭法,正是这栋房子的魅力所在：它一下子让我们这群工蜂式的建筑师不得不反思：为什么我们没做得这么轻松?
