Global liquidity tightened significantly According to the latest report by Cross Border Capital, a global consulting firm, the global liquidity scale in 2015 was 105.7 trillion U.S. dollars. The latest statistics on global liquidity of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) show that as of the second quarter of 2015, global liquidity decreased by 2.8 trillion U.S. dollars over 2014. Regionally, the emerging Asia-Pacific markets have shrunk by 1 trillion U.S. dollars, accounting for 36% of the global liquidity reduction. Looking at the outstanding balance, the liquidity of the U.S. dollar, euro and yen has been reduced by 800 billion U.S. dollars, 300 billion U.S. dollars and 100 billion U.S. dollars respectively.
