油菜终花期在茎的腋芽处产生小分枝,开花而不结实,这种现象叫做油菜的“次生花”或“再发花”。出现这种“次生花”的油菜轻的减产5～10%,严重的减产20～30%。1981年龙溪大队上街生产队有一丘0.4亩的油菜田,由于施肥过迟,生长过旺,蚜虫多,发生了斜伏。结果后期“次生花”丛生,只收籽41斤,折亩产102斤。而另外一丘0.6亩田在各方面都注意加强管理,没有发生“次生花”,结果收籽87斤,折亩产143斤,较前者增产29%。很多油菜田都有不同程度的“次生花”发生,给油菜生产造成了一定的损失。
